finishing and assembly
Whipstitch backside of four squares together and lay out crocheted embellishments on squares as shown. Secure pieces onto squares with craft glue. Let dry. Sew all pieces in place with running stitch and coordinating yarn color. Sew four squares together to form back of tote. With right sides together, whipstitch front and back pieces together on three sides. Turn right side out. Attach strap centered over side seams, slightly overlapping bag top. Use extra whipstitches to enforce straps. Fold flower tassels in half and place shorter single tassel ends into center fold. Sew onto left side seam of bag as shown.
