  • Circular handles in style of choice, two

  • 1. 8 rows = 2", 16 sts = 2"
  • Bag

  • 1. Bag Front: using Ecru, ch 65, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in ea across. Turn. (64 sts)
  • 2. Row 1: Ch 1, starting in 2nd ch from hook sc across; turn.
  • 3. Row 2: Join White, ch 1, starting in 2nd ch from hook, sc across; turn.
  • 4. Rows 3-4: Join Ecru, ch 1, starting in 2nd ch from hook, sc across; turn.
  • 5. Rows 5-6: Join White, ch 1, starting in 2nd ch from hook, sc across; turn.
  • 6. Rows 7-9: Join Ecru, ch 1, starting in 2nd ch from hook sc across; turn.
  • 7. Row 10: Join White, ch 1, starting in 2nd ch from hook, sc across; turn.
  • 8. Row 11: Join Ecru, ch 1, starting in 2nd ch from hook, sc across; turn. Repeat Rows 1-11 until piece measures 8", ending with Ecru row. Do not fasten off.
  • 9. Handle: Ch 1, working over 3" metal ring, sc in end of ea row on bag. Cont to sc around ring until completely covered (approx. 150 sts). Fasten off.
  • 10. Back: Work same as front (Step 1).
  • 11. Side Seams: Starting at 13th row from top, using Ecru and tapestry needle, sew each side seam.
  • 12. Bottom: With Ecru and crochet hook, join with sl st in end of row at either side seam on bottom. Ch 1, sc around bottom working 1 sc in ea row. Join with sl st in 1st sc. Ch 1, working now through sts on both Front and Back, sc in ea sc across. Fasten off.
  • 13. Fringe: Cut sixty 9" lengths of Ecru. Holding four strands together, attach to bottom of bag at evenly spaced intervals. Tie four strands from each grouping of strands to grouping next to it across. Trim ends even.
  • 14. Slide stitches on each handle into pleasing pattern.
