  • Red Heart Soft Jeweltone Yarn, 1 skein


  • Crochet hook, size I/9

Basic Supplies

  • scissors, ruler, yarn needle


blo: black loop only
ch: chain
hdc: half-double crochet
rep: repeat
st(s): stitch(es)

  • 1. Ch 40.
  • 2. To make ridges, hdc in blo on entire piece. In second ch from hook hdc all way across (38 sts).
  • 3. Ch 2, hdc in blo all way across, rep for 12 rows.
  • 4. Hdc 8 sts, ch 5 (to make thumbhole), then hdc all way across.
  • 5. Ch 2, hdc in all sts across.
  • 6. Hdc into each st of ch 5 and all way across. Continue until piece measures 7"-wide, or until mitt can go around arm (approximately 30 rows).
  • 7. Cut yarn end leaving 30" tail. Hand-sew mitt together using yarn needle. Weave in ends. Repeat to make matching mitt.
