  • Assembly
  • 1. To make bow, sew first row to last row, forming circle. Center seam over center of bow, then wrap center of bow with center wrap.
  • 2. Sew first and last row of center wrap together. Bring yarn up through center of bow, then back down through bottom to secure wrap in place.
  • 3. Sew side edges of bow together, stuffing very lightly with fiberfill. Weave in ends. Set aside.
  • 4. Sew bottom and side edges of front to back, matching stripes. Turn right side out.
  • 5. Position bow on right side of flap, so bottom edge of center wrap of bow is 1-1/2" from bottom edge of flap and bow is centered side to side. Sew in place.
  • 6. Sew bottom and side edges of front lining to back lining. Leave wrong side out. Set aside.
  • 7. Attach magnetic snaps to crochet backing following manufacturer's instructions. Position bottom half of each snap on center B stripe on front, so edge of backing is 1-1/2" from side edge of front; pin in place. Sew backings in place using tails. Weave in ends. Set top halves of snaps aside.
  • 8. Insert lining. Sew top edge of clutch front to top front edge of lining, then sew side and bottom edges of clutch flap to lining flap. Weave in ends.
  • 9. Position top half of each snap on underside of flap, so they line up with bottom halves; pin backings in place. Snap closed and adjust positions if necessary. Sew backings in place to underside of flap using their tails, taking care not to stitch into topside (front) of flap. Weave in ends.
