  • Apple Hot Pad - Gauge
  • 1. Rnds 1-5 = approx. 3" diameter. Check your gauge. Use any size needles/hook to obtain gauge given.
  • Apple Hot Pad - Apple (make 2)
  • 1. With CA, ch 4, join to first ch to form ring.
  • 2. Rnd 1: Ch 3, 9 dc in ring, ch 3, sl st in ring.
  • 3. Rnd 2: 3 sc over first ch 3, sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in each of next 2 sts, 3 sc in next st,, 2 sc in each of next 2 sts, sc in next 2 sts, 3 sc over next ch 3, sl st in first sc - 21 sc.
  • 4. Rnd 3: With CB, join in same st as sl st, sl st in next st, sc in next 2 sts, dc in next 6 sts, 3 dc in next st, dc in next 6 sts, sc in next 2 sts, sl st in next 2 sts. Join to first sl st.
  • 5. Rnd 4: Sl st in next st, 2 sc in each of next 3 sts, sc in next 6 sts,, 3 sc in next st, sc in next 6 sts, 2 sc in each of next 3 sts, sl st in next 2 sts. Join to first sl st.

Rnd 8: Sc in same st as sl st, sc in next st, dc in next 2 sts, 2 dc in each of next 2 sts, 2 tr in each of next 2 sts, tr in next 4 sts, , 2 dc in each of next 2 sts, dc in next 4 sts, , 2 dc in next st, , dc in next 20 sts, 2 dc in next st, , dc in next 4 sts, 2 dc in each of next 2 sts, tr in next 4 sts, 2 tr in each of next 2 sts, 2 dc in each of next 2 sts, dc in next 2 sts, sc in next 2 sts. Join to first sc. Fasten off.
  • 10. Rnd 9: Attach CC in same sp as sl st, sc in same st, sc in each st around. Join to first sc.
  • 11. Rnd 10: Sl st in next 3 sts, , sc in each st around to last 2 sts, sl st in last 4 sts. Join to first sl st. Fasten off.
  • Apple Hot Pad - Leaf (make 2)
  • 1. With CD, ch 10.
  • 2. Rnd 1: sc in 2nd ch from hook, hdc in next ch, dc in next ch, tr in next 3 ch, dc in next ch, hdc in next ch, 3 sc in next ch (tip of leaf); working along opposite side of ch, hdc in next ch, dc in next ch, tr in next 3 ch, dc in next ch, hdc in next ch, 2 sc in sp as first sc.
  • 3. Rnd 2: Sc in each st around making 3 sc in center sc of each 3 sc group. Join and fasten off.
  • Apple Hot Pad - Stem (make 2)
  • 1. With CE, ch 10.
  • 2. Row 1: 2 dc in 4th ch from hook, sc in each ch across. Fasten off. Sew two pieces tog along outside edges. Weave in ends.
  • Apple Hot Pad - Finishing
  • 1. With CE and on both apple pieces, embroider 2 seeds on each side of center. With CC and wrong sides tog, sew apple pieces tog along outside edges, placing stem at top. Place leaves on apple, making sure wrong sides are tog, with CD, sew leaves together and on to apple. Weave in ends.
  • Asparagus Hot Pad - Gauge
  • 1. 1 stalk measures approx 3/4"x6-3/4". Check your gauge. Use any size needle/ hook to obtain gauge given.
  • Asparagus Hot Pad
  • 1. With CA, ch 2.
  • 2. Rnd 1: 4 sc in 2nd ch from hook, join with sl st to first sc.
  • 3. Rnd 2: Ch 3, dc in same place as sl st, 2 dc in each st around. Join with sl st to top of ch 3 - 8 dc.
  • 4. Rnds 3-6: Ch 3, dc in back lp of each dc around. Fasten off at end of Rnd 6.
  • 5. Rnds 7-10: Attach CB in same st as sl st. Rep Rnd 3. Fasten off at end of Rnd 10.
  • 6. Rnds 11-14: Attach CC in same place as sl st. Rep Rnd 3. Fasten off at end of Rnd 14.
  • 7. Sew stalks tog leaving 3/4" free at rounded tip of each stalk. Weave in ends.
  • Asparagus Hot Pad - Tie
  • 1. With CD, make a ch approx 55" long. Fasten off. Weave in ends. Wrap and tie bow around asparagus.
