  • Cross-Stitch Lavender Sachet


  • DMC Charles Craft 18-count Antique White Aida, 8”x11”
  • Purple lightweight fabric, 6”x8-1/2”
  • DMC 6-strand Embroidery Floss
  • Dried lavender buds, 4 cups


  • Sewing machine

Basic Supplies

  • scissors, straight pins, embroidery needle, sewing needle, iron and pressing surface

Pattern - Cross-Stitch Lavender Sachet

  • 1. Cross-stitch design centered on fabric using two strands of floss.
  • 2. Trim excess Aida around finished embroidery so fabric measures 6"x8-1/2" and design is centered. Press piece face down on pressing surface.
  • 3. Pin Aida and purple fabric together with right sides facing. Machine- or hand-sew together using 1/2" seam allowance, leaving an opening for turning. Trim edges and corners and turn right side out. Place right side down on pressing surface and press gently.
  • 4. Fill sachet with dried lavender buds. Hand-sew opening closed with Lavender-DK.
