  • DMC 6-Strand Embroidery Floss: 3847 Teal Green-DK, 747 Sky Blue-LT, 3713 Salmon- LT, 779 Cocoa-DK, 310 Black
  • Wooden embroidery hoops: 10”, 6"
  • White cotton fabric

Tools

  • Embroidery needle

Basic Supplies

  • thimble, scissors, transfer paper

Pattern - Winter Deer Embroidery

  • 1. Print out full-size patterns. Transfer patterns onto cotton fabric. Center transferred designs into appropriate-size hoops; trim away excess fabric leaving 2" border.
  • 2. Follow pattern to backstitch outline except for deer's eye. Make eye with three French knots arranged closely together. Knot thread ends on back of design.
  • 3. Follow pattern to backstitch outline for snowflake design. Knot thread ends on back of design.
  • 4. Fold fabric border to back of hoop; secure using several long stitches. Knot ends.
