Pattern - Birds of Folly

  • 1. Print out full-size patterns. Cut body pieces from felt. Use one color felt for body and contrasting color for belly and wings. For beaks, cut 1/4" Gold felt triangles.
  • 2. With right sides facing up, position belly on front body piece. Hand-sew in place using blanket stitch and one strand of pearl cotton.
  • 3. Position back body piece with wrong side facing up. Adhere paper clip at center top, extending approximately 3/16" above top of head using glue. Adhere wings onto each side of body using glue.
  • 4. For hair, wrap 12" length of pearl cotton around two fingers creating several loops. Pinch one end together; adhere over paper clip so it extends above top of paper clip. Trim loops.
  • 5. With wrong sides facing, adhere body front to body back using glue. Adhere wiggle eyes and beak above belly.
  • Tip
  • 1. Hang with metallic thread, wire hook, or mini clothespin.
