Snack Pokers & Chip Bowl & Recipe

Materials

  • SNACK POKERS:
  • Plastic heart picks: red; white
  • Playing cards
  • Scrap Essentials Large Square Bubbles (Jo-Ann’s)
  • Jewelry Designer Dice Beads, 12mm, transparent (Darice)
  • CHIP BOWL:
  • Black plastic bowl, 7-quart
  • Green felt, 9”x12”
  • Mini playing cards
  • White poker chips

Tools

  • SNACK POKERS:
  • Black wire, 22-gauge (Artistic Wire)
  • Quick Grip All-Purpose Permanent Adhesive (Beacon Adhesives)
  • Round-nose pliers
  • Wire cutters
  • CHIP BOWL:
  • Measuring tape
  • Black Sticky Back Velcro, 3/4”-wide (Velcro USA)

Pattern - Bite-Size Cucumber Sandwiches

  • Snack Pokers
  • 1. Remove backing from square bubble. Place over desired portion of playing card; burnish with fingernail. Repeat for back of card. Trim to away excess card.
  • 2. Sandwich heart portion of pick between front and back bubble; adhere.
  • 3. Cut 6" wire length. Center wire on pick, just below card; wrap three times. Use another pick to curl wire ends. Thread bead onto one wire end, and curl end to secure bead.
  • 4. Repeat for additional picks.
  • Chip Bowl
  • 1. Measure outside bowl circumference, just below lip; cut Velcro to length. Separate hook and loop sides; set loop tape aside.
  • 2. Remove backing from hook tape and adhere around bowl.
  • 3. Lay out loop tape on work surface; remove backing. Cut 2" squares from felt; place, evenly spaced, across loop tape. Press firmly to adhere.
  • 4. Place poker chips, slightly overlapping felt, onto tape; press down firmly. Fan out cards in sets of three; press onto tape.
  • 5. Press embellished loop tape onto hook tape around bowl. (Note: Remove embellished loop tape before washing bowl.)
