  • Sweet Treat Pinwheels


  • Mason or other clear glass jar
  • Clear straws
  • Cardstock: white, kraft
  • Print papers: blue geometric, red gingham
  • Brads: navy, white
  • Washi tape
  • Ribbon: blue solid, red gingham ruffle
  • Jute twine
  • Lemonade powdered drink mix


  • Craft punches: Stampin’ Up! Large Tag; circle, 1/8"
  • Bosskut Gazelle Personal Cutting Machine
  • The Cutting Café: Pinwheel Sentiment Cutting File, Star Box, Independence Day Background Printable Stamps
  • Computer and printer
  • Paper adhesive

Basic Supplies

  • scissors, ruler, paper trimmer
  • 1. Cut medium-size pinwheel from blue geometric or red gingham paper using cutting machine or scissors and Pinwheel Sentiment template. Bend each pierced point down toward center, aligning holes. Fasten with brad. Repeat for as many pinwheels as needed.
  • 2. Wrap washi tape over bottom opening of straw. Fill straw with drink mix. Punch hole at top of straw; affix pinwheel to straw using center brad. Repeat for remaining pinwheels.
  • 3. Print red striped design on white cardstock using Background template. Wrap panel around jar, trim to fit, and adhere ends. Wrap gingham ribbon around top of jar and adhere ends. Tie blue ribbon bow; adhere to jar.
  • 4. Print stars and sentiment tag on kraft cardstock using Star Box template; punch out. Tie tag to jar using jute twine. Insert pinwheels into jar.
