Elf Treat Tin

Materials

  • Recycled round cheese box or circular tin, 4-1/2” diameter
  • Cardstock: white, black, peach, red
  • Holiday ribbon: plaid, 3/8”-wide; striped, 3/8”; green glitter rickrack
  • Green metallic pom-pom, 1”

Tools

  • Circle punches: 3/8”, 5/8”
  • Red chalk or blush
  • Beacon Adhesives Kid’s Choice!

Basic Supplies

  • scissors, pencil, fine black marker

Pattern - Elf Treat Tin

  • 1. Print out patterns. Cut patterns from cardstock as indicated.
  • 2. Use circle patterns provided, or punch two 3/8" circles from black cardstock and 5/8" circles from cardstock as follows: two white, two red, one peach.
  • 3. Trace shape of box lid onto peach cardstock using pencil; cut out.
  • 4. Rub red chalk on edges of ears and nose.
  • 5. Remove lid from box. Adhere striped ribbon around edge of lid; trim ends. Repeat along bottom edge of box.
  • 6. Adhere face to lid. Using photo as guide, adhere hat and beard, then remaining facial features except ears to lid.
  • 7. Adhere rickrack and pom-pom to hat. Adhere ears to lid. Draw mouth using marker.
  • 8. Tie plaid ribbon into bow; adhere to bottom edge of lid below chin.
