  • Daisy craft punch, 1”-wide

Basic Supplies

  • ruler, pencil, stylus, palette knife, sea sponge, rotary cutter and mat, paintbrush, newspaper, scissors

Pattern - Welcome to My Garden

  • 1. Print out full-size pattern. Use Layout Diagram throughout. Divide and mark canvas into sections as follows: horizontally into thirds; top section 2-1/2" from left side; center section 5" from left side. In Section 4, begin brickwork by laying stencil over section and applying Modeling Paste with palette knife. Lift stencil off canvas; let dry.
  • 2. Punch 15 daisies from white paper; ink edges Victorian Velvet. Stack three daisies; adhere. Dab hot glue on center; dip in yellow powder. Repeat for five daisies.
  • 3. Die cut 10 long leaves and 18 ivy leaves from light green mulberry paper. Ink edges Crushed Olive then Mowed Lawn. Set aside.
  • 4. Die cut two butterflies from pink paper; ink edges Victorian Velvet. Die cut two different butterflies from green print paper; ink edges Mowed Lawn. Add details to wings of one butterfly with Chipped Sapphire marker.
  • 5. Cut two 2-1/2"x1-1/2" pink paper panels; ink edges Victorian Velvet. Stamp corners London Fog using scrollwork stamp. Stamp words "to" and "my" Tuxedo Black.
  • 6. Follow manufacturer's instructions on die to create three gardenias from pink paper. Die cut one pansy from pink paper. Ink pansy center Victorian Velvet; add details using Victorian Velvet and Chipped Sapphire markers. Dot pansy center Vintage Gold.
  • 7. Die cut three violet leaves and five pansy leaves from green paper scraps. Ink violet leaves Mowed Lawn; ink pansy leaves Crushed Olive.
  • 8. Die cut bird and wing from chipboard using Bird Scroll die. Paint bird and wing Buttermilk; let dry. Sponge Spa Blue over top; let dry. Burnish edges Gold Rush. Adhere wing to bird. Dot eye using Chipped Sapphire marker.
  • 9. Cut chipboard into 1/2" strips; paint Buttermilk. Stamp music London Fog. Cut nine 2-1/2"-lengths (posts) and two 8"-lengths (railings). Adhere posts to railings; burnish randomly with Gold Rush.
  • 10. Paint brick in Section 4 Driftwood using flat; let dry. Drybrush bricks Terra Cotta; let dry. Highlight brick Buttermilk and Honey Brown; let dry.
  • 11. Paint Sections 1 and 3 Soft Sage and Buttermilk; blend colors. Paint Sections 2 and 5 Dusty Rose and Buttermilk; let dry. Drybrush edges of canvas Champagne Gold. Stamp scrollwork London Fog in top left of Section 1, top right and bottom left of Section 2, and top corners of Section 5. Outline sectional borders with White Pearl dots. Write "Welcome" and "Garden" in Vintage Gold; let dry.
  • 12. Adhere daisies and leaves in Section 1; fluff petals and leaves to add dimension. Adhere butterflies to Section 2, angling around word. Adhere bird with feet resting on "Garden" using glue gun. Adhere sentiment panels in Section 3 using foam squares. Adhere butterfly in Section 3. Adhere fence at canvas bottom. Adhere gardenias, leaves, and ribbon to fence. Adhere pansy, pansy leaves, and ivy leaves to canvas. Add Vintage Gold butterfly antennae and accents on bodies. Let dry.
