Vintage Easter Matchboxes

sizes: small, 1/2"x1-3/8"x2-1/8; large, 1-1/2"x2-1/2"x4-3/4"

Materials

  • Assorted matchboxes
  • Heartwarming Vintage Booklet vintage Easter images (Crafty Secrets)
  • Coordinating textured papers (Basic Grey)
  • Flat Back Crystals (Swarovski), 1/4” to 3/8”: Peridot; Crystal

Tools

  • Dazzling Metallics Spray Paint: Bright Gold (DecoArt)
  • Adhesives: Zip Dry Paper Glue; Gem-Tac Permanent Adhesive (Beacon Adhesives)
  • Toothpick
  • 1. Separate box pieces. Spray paint Bright Gold. (Note: Do not spray inside boxes if using for food.)
  • 2. Cut out images from booklet; trim to fit boxes. If desired, mat image on textured paper, then glue to box.
  • 3. Cut textured paper rectangles to fit long sides of boxes; glue.
  • 4. Use toothpick and Gem-Tac Permanent Adhesive to glue crystals to boxes.
