  • 1. Drill hole in center of front side of lid (for bead droplet). Lightly sand. Rub ink on inside edges of box lid and bottom.
  • 2. Paint outer box one coat Lamp Black; let dry. Paint several coats Snow White over Lamp Black, letting dry between coats. (Note: Coverage does not need to be opaque.) When dry, sand surface and edges for a distressed look.
  • 3. Print high contrast 3-1/2"x5" black-and-white photo on presentation paper; cut out. Cut two 2-1/4"x5" rectangles from stripe paper with stripes running vertically. Turn photo and stripe rectangles over so front sides are facing work surface and butt edges together with photo in center. Place tape across edges to secure rectangles.
  • 4. Brush Gem-Tac over back of taped rectangles; adhere to box, smoothing out paper. Sand paper edges even with box edges.
  • 5. Use foam brush to apply two coats Liquid Laminate to paper on box lid, letting dry between coats.
  • 6. To attach bead, cut 1-1/2" wire length. Use pliers to bend one end into small loop. Place small ice bead on wire, then insert wire through hole in box with bead on outside. Bend wire end inside box into loop that fits snugly inside box.
  • 7. Attach jump ring to wire loop on outside of box.
  • 8. For bead droplet, cut 3" wire length. Use pliers to bend one end into loop. String beads as desired, leaving 1" wire length extending at top. Bend wire end over slightly, 1/2" from end. Insert wire through jump ring on box. Bend wire end over until it touches top of last bead.
