Basic Supplies

  • paper trimmer, scoring tool, scissors, pencil, ruler, sponge dauber
  • Warm and Cozy Gift Card Holder
  • 1. Make 4-1/4"x5-1/2" side-fold card from Snow cardstock. Cut 4-1/4"x5-1/2" panel from branches paper; adhere to card.
  • 2. Cut 3-1/2"x4-3/4" panel from red dot paper. Using Corner Chomper, punch stub corners on all corners; adhere to card with foam tape.
  • 3. Adhere green die-cut journaling card to card front, tilting slightly left. Adhere sentiment sticker to journaling card pocket. Wrap twine around pocket twice, tie in bow and trim. Adhere snowflake stickers to pocket. Using foam tape, adhere card pocket to card front, tilting slightly right.
  • 4. Using Bracket Tab punch, punch sentiment from paper. Cut 3-5/8"x2" panel from leftover paper; adhere punched tab to one short edge. Adhere gift card to panel with low-tack tape. Insert panel into journaling pocket.
  • 5. Using Envelope Punch Board, create envelope from Berries cardstock and liner from winter cabin paper. Embellish envelope with 8" border sticker length, notched on one end with scissors and wrapped around edge of envelope. Adhere snowflake sticker to envelope back with foam tape.
  • Goodwill Toward Men Gift Card Holder
  • 1. Make 4-1/4"x3" side-fold card from Snow cardstock. Using Cricut, emboss card front with dots. Use sponge dauber to ink raised dots pale blue.
  • 2. Cut two panels of blue/white dot paper measuring 8"x2-5/8". Score both at 4" and fold with dots to inside; unfold panels. Layer paper panels together, dot side up, and adhere layers together on left side of fold. On right side of fold, adhere layers together along bottom and right edges only, leaving top open. Punch Thumb Notch in center of open edge.
  • 3. Cut 18" length of twine. Lay across width of open card base. Adhere card holder panels to inside card base, securing twine beneath.
  • 4. Embellish card front with 4" border length cut from paper. Die cut red and brown nesting labels from cardstock; layer and adhere together. Cut sentiment from paper and adhere to label. Adhere label to card with foam tape.
  • 5. Using Envelope Punch Board, create envelope from Frosty cardstock and liner from red dot paper. Embellish envelope with 7-3/4" border length cut from paper, notched on one end with scissors and wrapped around edge of envelope. Adhere snowflake sticker to envelope back with foam tape.
  • Peace on Earth Gift Card Holder
  • 1. Cut striped paper to 4"x9"; score at 4-1/2" and fold in half lengthwise. Leaving 3-1/2" open at center of short end, adhere layers together along long edges to form pocket for box base.
  • 2. Cut 5-1/2" olive ribbon length. Adhere ribbon to center of box front, tucking ends around back and into pocket. Adhere snowflake stickers to box front. Using foam tape, adhere holly sticker to box front.
  • 3. Cut striped paper to 4"x3"; score and fold to measure 4"x1-1/2". Adhere short sides together to form pocket for box lid.
  • 4. Using Circle Cutter, cut 2-1/8" circle from Garland cardstock. Adhere sentiment sticker to circle. Using Crop-a-Dile, punch 1/8" hole in top of circle.
  • 5. Cut 2-1/2" olive ribbon length. Adhere ribbon to center of lid front, tucking ends around back and into pocket. Tie olive ribbon into bow; adhere bow and ribbon ends to lid front. Cut 8" twine length. Thread through bow knot and sentiment circle; tie in bow. Adhere top of circle to lid with foam tape.
  • 6. To create gift card insert, cut branches paper to 3"x4-1/2"; score 1/2" from bottom short end. Fold flap up; do not adhere. Insert top of panel into lid pocket; adhere back of panel to lid. Slide gift card into lid pocket along front of panel until flap will fold up. Slide panel into box base. (Note: Gift card can be further secured with low-tack tape if desired.)
  • 7. Using Envelope Punch Board, create envelope from Garland cardstock and liner from snowflake paper. Embellish envelope with 10-1/2" border length cut from paper, notched on one end with scissors and wrapped around edge of envelope. Adhere holly and snowflake stickers to envelope back with foam tape.
  • Tip
  • 1. Make several gift card holders at once using neutral cardstock; personalize as needed with seasonal or themed embellishments.
