  • Milk Jug Mail Holders


  • Recycled gallon milk jug (with cap)
  • Tissue paper, sheets: blue or pink
  • Craft foam, scraps: blue or pink
  • Tulip 3-D Fashion Paints, in colors of choice
  • Adhesive-foam hearts
  • Chenille stem: blue or pink
  • Stickers, in assorted styles
  • Aleene’s Original Tacky Glue


  • Scissors
  • Ruler
  • Sponge scrap
  • Serrated knife
  • Newspaper (to cover work surface)
  • 1. Wash and dry milk jug. Use knife to cut 2"x4" opening on side of jug.
  • 2. On covered work surface, position tissue paper sheets with edges overlapping. Use sponge scrap to apply glue along edges. Position jug in center of tissue paper. Dab glue on jug. Wrap tissue paper around jug; pressing edges. Let dry.
  • 3. For handle, wrap and glue chenille stems around handle. Let dry.
  • 4. Apply stickers, adhesive foam hearts, and designs around jug.
  • 5. Outline designs and flowers with paint colors of choice. Let dry.
  • 6. Use scissors to cut hole in center of cap. Insert chenille stem through hole; twist ends together on inside. Cut truck, flowers, or design of choice from craft foam. Glue design on top of chenille stem.
  • 7. For nameplate, measure and cut 2"x4" craft foam rectangle. Use paint to write name on rectangle. Let dry. Glue nameplate on side of jug.
