Folded Tulips Card

  • Cardstock or construction paper: lt. blue, white, bright green
  • Print paper: purple, blue, pink; three shades of green


  • Decorative-edge scissors: cloud, jumbo pinking
  • API Crafter’s Pick The Ultimate! Glue
  • Ruler
  • Scissors
  • 1. Measure and cut 7"x10" lt. blue paper rectangle. Fold rectangle in half forming 5"x7" card.
  • 2. For flower stems, cut three 1/4"x4" bright green paper strips. Glue strips vertically along bottom edge of card.
  • 3. For grass, cut 1/2"x7" bright green paper strip. Use jumbo pinking shears to cut top edge of strip. Glue grass across bottom of card.
  • 4. For clouds, cut three 2" white paper circles. Use cloud scissors to trim around edges. Glue clouds, evenly spaced, along top of card.
  • 5. For tulip, cut three 1-1/2" paper squares. See Fig. 1. Fold squares in half diagonally, following dashed lines on figure. Unfold squares. Fold sides of squares to center, following dotted lines on figure.

  • 6. Using photo as guide, glue wide end of two folded squares together with narrow points at top. Glue remaining folded square to center of glued squares with narrow point at center. See photo. Repeat process to cut paper squares and glue on card for purple, blue, and pink flowers.
  • 7. Glue tulips over stems on card.
  • 8. For leaves, cut two 1-1/2" green print paper squares. Fold squares same as flowers. See Fig. 1. Fold again along center dashed line following figure. Glue same-color leaves on sides of stem.
