  • 1. Trace one shell onto cardboard and cut out slightly inside traced line for page pattern. Fold cardstock in half and cut three pages on fold.
  • 2. Tape base of shells together with small pieces of duct tape inside and outside shells. Apply alcohol ink to tape to "age" it.
  • 3. Crop photos and print desired sentiments using computer. Age page, photo and sentiment edges with brown chalk ink pad and decorator chalk. Layer pages and tie string around spine. Tie string around shell joining over duct tape; ribbon bow will hide it.
  • 4. Tie large ribbon bow and glue to top of shells where they join to hide string and tape.
  • Flip Flop Album
  • 1. Disassemble one flip flop; remove foot strap and cut three "buttons" from ends. Save buttons.
  • 2. Trace one flip flop onto cardboard and cut out slightly inside traced line for page pattern. Fold white cardstock in half and cut one page on fold, positioning inner toe of flip flop on fold so two inside pages allow album to "hang" together. Cut two single album pages. Sponge turquoise ink around page edges; detail with black pen.
  • 3. Stack intact flip flop on top of strapless flip flop for album covers. Glue buttons cut in Step 1 into holes in bottom of back cover. "Open" covers and use tacky glue to adhere one page to each. Cut two 3" white cardstock squares for album binding. Use binding squares to join inner pages to cover pages; photos will cover these squares later.
  • 4. Crop photos and print desired sentiments using computer; mat on turquoise cardstock. For front cover, stamp sentiment on white cardstock, trim, color with markers and mat on yellow cardstock; adhere.
  • 5. Tie ribbons around strap. Stamp tiny fish, color and cut out; adhere to ribbons. Stamp tag, color and tie to strap with string.
  • 6. Stamp funny fish onto cardstock scraps, color and cut out; adhere to pages as desired.
