Basic Supplies

  • scissors
  • 1. Trace wide sides of bookends onto back of blue paper; cut out 1/4" beyond traced lines. Line all narrow edges of bookends with Tacky Tape. Adhere cutouts to bookends, marked sides down; fold excess over to taped edges.
  • 2. Apply second layer of Tacky Tape over narrow edges of bookends. Cut five 1/2"x12" blue paper strips and press to tape, trimming excess.
  • 3. Cut 3" and 8" ribbon lengths. Tape longer piece to bookend for stem. Gather ends of shorter piece and tape under edge of stem to create leaf.
  • 4. For each flower, stamp 16 petals onto white paper and cut out. Layer petals onto prongs of yellow brads; fold back brad ends to secure. Adhere flower centers to tops of stems. Insert dragonfly brad in one petal.
  • 5. Use applicator to set green pearls down stems.
  • More
  • 1. Create coordinating desk accessories: pencil box; letter caddy; lampshade; frame; etc.
  • 2. For sleeker look, adhere flower petals flat to bookend; replace brads and ribbon with rub-ons or stickers.
