Basic Supplies

  • scissors, ruler, paintbrush, black marker, newspaper (to cover work surface)
  • 1. Scan kid's artwork using scanner and computer. Minimize and save artwork to 2" squares. Print artwork on white copy paper.
  • 2. Apply epoxy stickers on artwork squares. Cut out around artwork, creating 1" circles.
  • 3. On covered work surface, paint wooden circles Primary Red, Sapphire, Grape Juice, and Primary Yellow. Let dry. Use black marker to outline edges.
  • 4. Adhere artwork circles on center of each wooden circle. Let dry. Use hole punch to punch hole on top of each circle.
  • 5. Use chain-nose pliers to open jump rings and attach on each wooden circle charm. Attach jump rings on chain length, spacing charms evenly along bracelet. Attach lobster clasp on end of bracelet.
  • 6. For keychain, measure and cut two 3" cereal box squares. Measure and cut 2-1/2" opening (for artwork) in center of one square.
  • 7. On covered work surface, paint squares Primary Yellow. Let dry.
  • 8. Cut scanned artwork to fit 2-1/2" opening. Adhere artwork on one 3" square and adhere other square with opening over artwork. Let dry. Use hole punch to punch hole on top of square.
  • 9. Use chain-nose pliers to attach large jump ring through hole on square and onto keychain ring.
  • 10. Use black marker to write name or message on keychain.
  • Tip
  • 1. Omit wooden circles and sandwich two-sided artwork between two epoxy stickers for smaller, translucent charms.
