  • Magical Kitchen Utensils


  • Unfinished wooden utensils: fork, spatula, spoon
  • Wooden items: three 1-1/2” knobs (with hole); two large rectangles, one large oval
  • DecoArt Americana Acrylic Paints: Dioxizine Purple, Primary Red, Primary Yellow, Spa Blue
  • Glitter chenille stems: silver, blue, gold


  • Hole punch
  • Aleene’s Original Tacky Glue
  • Scissors
  • Ruler
  • Black marker
  • Paintbrush
  • Newspaper (to cover work surface)
  • 1. On covered work surface, paint alternating-color stripes on utensils. Paint two knobs Spa Blue, one knob Primary Yellow, two rectangles Primary Yellow, and one oval Spa Blue. Let dry.
  • 2. Paint Dioxizine Purple stars on yellow knob. Paint Primary Yellow circle on center of blue knob. Let dry. Paint Dioxizine Purple "S" on center of yellow circle. Paint Dioxizine Purple dots on blue knob. Let dry.
  • 3. Glue knobs on ends of utensils.
  • 4. Use black marker to outline wooden shapes and write "Magic Mixing Spoon", "Super Spatula", and "Fantastic Fork" on centers. Use hole punch to punch holes in wooden shapes.
  • 5. Insert glitter chenille stems through holes on shapes. Wrap chenille stems around utensil ends; twist ends to secure.
