Travelin' Tunes CD and Altered Tin

Materials

  • Metal tin (slightly larger than CD)
  • North Shore Collection: Stripe Combo 3; In the Tube; Stoked Stripe (Scenic Route)
  • Rub-ons: “Groovy” (Chatterbox); “travelin’ ” (Heidi Grace); “tunes”, “memories”, “adventure” (Junkitz)
  • North Shore Beach Chipboard (Scenic Route)
  • Vacation binder clip (Li’l Davis)
  • Beach license plate (Karen Foster Design)
  • Orange Dot Ribbon, 1/4”, 1-1/2 yds. (Offray)

Tools

  • Zip Dry Paper Glue (Beacon Adhesives)
  • Circle Cutter (Fiskars)
  • Travelin' Tunes CD
  • 1. Cut 4-1/2" circles from In the Tube and Stoked Stripe. Cut out 2" from middle of each 4-1/2" circle.
  • 2. Cut Stoked Stripe circle in half; adhere one half to lower portion of In the Tube circle.
  • 3. Cut "hang ten!" from Stripe Combo 3; adhere across seam on right side of circle. Apply "groovy", "travelin'", and "tunes" rub-ons.
  • Altered Tin
  • 1. Cut two 5"x6" pieces from Stripe Combo 3. Adhere to tin front and back; trim excess. Lightly sand paper edges.
  • 2. Adhere chipboard pieces and "sunnyday" license plate to cover. Apply word rub-ons.
  • 3. Tie ribbon around closed CD case; tie bow.
