  • Double-sided tape

Basic Supplies

  • recycled plastic containers, two, paper towels, sponge scrap, scissors
  • 1. On covered work surface, pour Evergreen dye into one container and Apple Green dye into another container. Remove labels from name plates. Soak name plates in containers for approximately one hour. Remove name plates and blot with paper towels. Let dry.
  • 2. Position desired label stencil on center of dyed name plate. Press edges firmly so paint will not seep through. Use sponge scrap to sponge paint center of name plate off white. Let dry for a few minutes. Remove stencil and repeat process on remaining name plates. Let dry.
  • 3. Measure and cut washi tape to length of painted name plate. Press washi tape across center of each name plate.
  • 4. Following manufacturer's instructions on ribbon maker, print guests' names on ribbon. Use scissors to cut names apart to desired lengths. Apply double-sided tape to back of ribbon; press onto center of painted name plate. Repeat for all name plates.
  • 5. Embellish name plates using flower and bird stickers. Apply adhesive-back magnet to back of each name plate.
