  • FOR SET:
  • Recycled aluminum can bottle tabs
  • Recycled plastic bottle caps, three
  • Sun catcher baking crystals: red, yellow
  • Black acrylic paint
  • Black seed beads
  • Buttons: black, yellow
  • Black plastic-coated wire, 2” length
  • Green ribbon, two 2” lengths
  • Magnets, three


  • Hot glue gun and sticks
  • Baking pan
  • Oven
  • Scissors
  • Ruler
  • Aluminum foil
  • Paintbrush
  • Newspaper
  • 1. Position clean bottle tabs on aluminum foil-lined baking sheet. Sprinkle sun catcher crystals inside bottle tab openings. (Make five yellow tabs for sunflower, two red tabs for ladybug, and five multicolor tabs for daisy.)
  • 2. Follow manufacturer's instructions to bake bottle tabs. Let cool.
  • 3. On covered work surface, paint bottle caps black. Let dry.
  • 4. For ladybug, glue two red tabs (wings) onto top of one black bottle cap. Let dry. For antennae, cut 2" black wire length. Thread wire ends through holes on black button; curl ends. Glue button on top of bottle cap between wings.
  • 5. For sunflower, apply glue to inside of bottle cap (flower center). While still wet, sprinkle beads inside flower center. Glue five yellow bottle tabs around flower center.
  • 6. For daisy, glue five multi-colored bottle tabs around bottle cap. Glue yellow button on center of daisy. Glue two 2" green ribbon lengths on back of bottle cap.
  • 7. Glue magnets on back of ladybug and flowers.
