  • Ice Princess Skates
  • 1. Print and cut out patterns. (Note: If making several skates, trace skate and blade pattern onto template plastic or poster board for a permanent pattern.)
  • 2. Trace and cut skate blade from gray felt. Use two strand of white floss to blanket stitch around blade.
  • 3. If making stitched snowflake version, transfer snowflake to stocking front. Use two strands of white floss to backstitch snowflake.
  • 4. Place two skate pieces wrong sides together. Apply glue to tops of blade, sandwiching tops of blade between two skate pieces.
  • 5. Pin skates together. Use two strands of Light Parrot Green floss to blanket stitch around skates, stitching through tops of blades, leaving top skate edges open.
  • 6. For hanger, form ribbon loop, then stitch ribbon ends onto right inside skate edge.
  • 7. Cut white marabou to fit around top opening of skate. Hot glue trim to top edge of stocking with end pieces facing back.
  • 8. Hot glue three pom-poms evenly spaced along left side.
  • 9. For stitched snowflake skate, hot glue nine rhinestones to snowflake tips and center.
  • 10. For snowflake ornament skate, hot glue 3" plastic snowflake onto center. Hot glue seven rhinestones onto snowflake ornament, one onto each tip and one in the center. Hot glue remaining rhinestones spaced evenly along the blade of the skate.
  • 11. For festive touch cute party favor, attach a personalized name tag with curling ribbon. Quick Tip: Fill the skates with fun treats and treasures to complete the holiday theme such as mittens, packets of gourmet hot chocolate, candy canes, or other items.
  • Jester Reindeer Stocking
  • 1. Print and cut out patterns. Cut two stocking shapes from red felt and two cuffs from lime green felt. (Note: One cuff is adequate, but two cuffs provide added thickness and dimension.)
  • 2. With edges aligned, baste two cuff pieces together. Baste cuff onto top front of one stocking piece. Use two strands of red floss to sew running stitch along jagged edges at bottom. Add several stitches along top to secure.
  • 3. Sew three white pom-poms to each point of cuff.
  • 4. Cut reindeer head from tan felt.
  • 5. Gently dry brush cheeks red. Apply thin layer of clear tacky glue to cheeks; sprinkle with glitters.
  • 6. Use photo as guide to bend chenille stems into antlers. Trim bottom ends as desired.
  • 7. Place antlers and reindeer head as desired onto stocking front. Hot glue antlers, then baste head so it slightly overlaps bottom end pieces of antlers.
  • 8. Use two strands of black floss to blanket stitch around head and make French knots for eyes.
  • 9. Sew or hot glue black pom-pom nose to face.
  • 10. Cut ribbon and silver rickrack to fit across top of cuff. Baste ribbon, then use two strands of white floss and running stitch to secure to cuff. Sew or hot glue rickrack trim to cuff.
