Hankerchief Pillows

Materials
- FOR EACH:
- Coordinating flat buttons, four
- Optional: Fiberfill stuffing
- LAVENDER PILLOW:
- Vintage or new handkerchief, 10”x10” or smaller
- Lavender lightweight cotton fabric, 3/8 yd.
- Pillow form, 12”x12”
- PINK PILLOW:
- Vintage or new handkerchief, 13”x13” or smaller
- Pink lightweight cotton fabric, 1/2 yd.
- Pillow form, 16”x16”
- BLUE PILLOW:
- Vintage or new handkerchief, 11”x11” or smaller
- Blue lightweight cotton fabric, 3/8 yd.
- Pillow form, 12”x16”
Tools
- FOR EACH:
- Sewing needle and thread
- 1. Cut two pieces from each fabric as follows: 12-1/2"x12-1/2" from lavender; 16-1/2"x16-1/2" from pink; 12-1/2"x16-1/2" from blue.
- 2. With right sides of fabric facing, sew corresponding pieces together, 1/4" from edges, leaving 10" opening on one side for lavender and blue pillows, and 12" opening for pink pillow for turning. Trim corners; turn right side out. Insert form into pillow, stuffing corners if needed. Turn in seam allowance and hand sew opening closed.
- 3. Place handkerchief on corresponding pillow. Sew buttons to handkerchief corners, hiding knots under buttons.
