  • 1. For green stripe/blue polka dot pillow, cut 2-3/8"x5-1/2" strip of blue polka dot. Press 3/8" seam down both long edges. Pin strip down center of 5-1/2" square green striped panel; topstitch edges down each long side. For blue polka dot/pink spot pillow, cut 4-3/4" blue polka dot square; fold in half diagonally and press long edge under 3/8". Pin triangle to 5-1/2" square pink spot panel. Topstitch diagonally down edge of blue triangle. Topstitch pink rick rack over seam. For blue polka dot/brown spot pillow, tack 7" length of pink rick rack diagonally across 5-1/2" square blue polka dot panel. Cut 5-1/2" brown spot square; fold in half diagonally. Topstitch triangle to square panel diagonally at rick rack. For blue polka dot/rainbow striped pillow, cut two 5-1/2"x3-3/8" panels, one each of blue polka dot and rainbow striped panels. Position panels with right sides together; machine-sew along long edge using 3/8" seam. Press seam open. Topstitch length of ribbon, then natural rick rack, over seam.
  • 2. For pillow backs, cut four 5-1/2" squares of coordinating fabric. Pin panels, with right sides together, sandwiching looped ribbon between pieces.
  • 3. Machine-sew panels together into four pouches, leaving 2" opening for turning. Turn right side out, poke out corners, and loosely fill with stuffing and fragrance. Press raw edges under; slipstitch opening closed.
  • 4. To make fabric yo-yos, cut 2-1/2" fabric circle. Hand-sew around edges using running stitch; gently pull thread ends. Knot thread ends together; flatten into disc. Attach button to center.
  • 5. Hand-sew flowers, buttons, and yo-yos to pillow fronts as shown.
