  • Wedding Flower Vase

Materials

  • FIMO Soft Polymer Clay, several blocks each: White; Orange
  • Plain vase

Tools

  • Flower cutter
  • Matte varnish
  • Clay-dedicated items: pasta machine or acrylic brayer; cutting board and craft knife; parchment-lined baking sheet
  • Smooth and pointed craft tool
  • Oven
  • Craft glue
  • 1. Follow manufacturer's instructions to condition clay. Using more white than orange, mix clay to make pale peach. (Note: For color variations, mix various shades of peach using more or less white as desired.)
  • 2. Roll peach to 4mm thickness. Use flower cutter to cut flowers. Quick Tip: Move the cutter from side to side after pressing down to make sure it cut through clay and all edges are cut away. Gently lift cutter and use craft tool to smooth edges.
  • 3. For flower centers, roll small, pea-sized ball from white clay and gently press into flower center. Use pointed craft tool to make shallow indents for a more realistic flower center.
  • 4. Place flower on baking sheet. On some flowers, gently lift petals upward for a more realistic effect. Follow manufacturer's instructions to bake clay. Let cool. Apply varnish.
  • 5. Glue flowers to vase in a sweeping upwards direction for added movement.
