  • Sculpey (Polyform): Oven-Bake Polymer Clay: Apple Green; Turquoise; Silver; Pink; Glaze Satin
  • Pearl Ex pigment powders (Jacquard): Spring Green; Turquoise; Macro Pearl; Flamingo
  • Wire (Darice), 20-gauge: Gold; Black
  • Embellishments: gold heart charm; clear crystal
  • Pin backing


  • Clay-dedicated items: acrylic brayer or rolling pin; aluminum foil-lined baking sheet
  • Polymer Clay Blade (Polyform)
  • Wooden dowel, 3/4”
  • Optional: Texture Plate (American Art Clay) or rubber stamp
  • Bead Fix Superfast Adhesive (Beadalon)
  • Wire cutters
  • 1. Follow manufacturer's instructions to condition clay. Roll out to 1/4" thickness. Cut out desired purse shape and flap.
  • 2. Use texture plate or rubber stamp to imprint design on clay. Use small paintbrush to apply pigment powder to purse.
  • 3. For handle, cut two 2" wire lengths. Shape wire around dowel, press ends into purse and cover with flap as shown. Press desired embellishment into flap. (Note: For wire embellishments, use photo as guide to shape wire.)
  • 4. Follow manufacturer's instructions to bake purse. Let cool completely.
  • 5. Remove wire embellishment. Apply glaze; let dry. If desired, pop off flap and glue handles in place. Glue embellishment to flap and pin backing to back.
