  • 1. On clean work surface, remove clay from packages. To condition, roll clay separately in hands until soft, bending and rolling until pliable. If clay cracks, keep conditioning.
  • 2. For rats, roll one ball of Black clay with two balls White clay, creating gray color. Form gray ball into teardrop shape. For ears, roll tiny Black ball and cut in half. Flatten ears and press on body. Roll tiny Black eyes; press on body. For tails, cut black chenille stem lengths; insert into body.
  • 3. For spiders, cut four black chenille stems in half. Twist lengths together at center. Bend legs. Roll Black ball (body). Press legs on bottom of body. Smooth edges. For eyes, roll two small White balls and two tiny Red balls. Press Red balls on White balls; press eyes on body. For fangs, cut 1" toothpick lengths; insert in body below eyes.
  • 4. For bats, roll Black ball and form into teardrop shape (for body). For wings, roll large Black ball. Use acrylic roller to flatten ball into 1/4"-thickness. Use toothpick to draw wing shape in Black sheet; repeat for other wing shape. Press wings on ends of body. Roll two tiny Black balls (ears) and two tiny White balls (eyes). Press ears and eyes on body. For fangs, cut two 1/4"-long toothpick lengths. Insert fangs in body below eyes. Insert small paperclip in back of bat's body.
  • 5. Let all creatures dry. To hang bat, insert cording or fishing line through paperclip on top on bat; knot ends.
