  • 1. Make top-fold Shimmer White card base.
  • 2. Stamp circle background onto separate piece of white cardstock and heat emboss with clear powder.
  • 3. Stem stitch random circles using variety of floss colors; see Fig. 1. Mat image on black and pink cardstock; adhere to card.

  • 4. Stamp sentiment on white cardstock; add gems. Mat on pink and black cardstock. Adhere to card with foam dots.
  • Sending a Smile Card
  • 1. Make side-fold white card base. Cut slightly smaller olive cardstock piece and stamp Vicki's Versatile Background in watermark ink; adhere to card.
  • 2. Cut 3-1/2"x3-3/4" kraft panel. Randomly stamp grass and butterflies from Butterfly 4-Corner Background over panel using watermark ink. Mat on dark brown cardstock; adhere to card on angle.
  • 3. Stamp Jet Black cattails on watercolor paper. Watercolor images using markers and water brush.
  • 4. Satin stitch cattails using dark brown floss; see Fig. 2. Mat image on dark brown cardstock. Pierce hole at each corner of stamped panel, insert brads and adhere panel to card.

  • 5. Stamp sentiment on watercolor paper scrap, mat on olive and brown scraps. Adhere to card with foam dots. Stamp two butterflies on watercolor scrap, color with markers and cut out. Adhere to sentiment.
  • Peace Tag Card
  • 1. Cut 4"x5-1/2" tag shape from kraft cardstock. Stamp sentiment at bottom right. Adhere Dew Drops to left of sentiment.
  • 2. Stamp berry branch on Speckle cardstock and color with markers. Trim to fit across tag. Cut larger dark brown mat and punch one side with Threading Water punch. Adhere layers and tie ribbon around tag as shown.
  • 3. Dab cotton ball onto ink pad and lightly rub across edges of stamped strip for softer, distressed look.
  • 4. Cut 1-3/4"x3" tag from muslin and another from cardstock scrap; adhere layers together. Stamp berry branch on tag. Designer Tip: Adhering small fabric scrap to cardstock adds stability while stitching.
  • 5. Stem stitch branch and make French knot for each berry; see Figs. 1 and 3. Mat on larger brown tag and insert eyelet. Tie tags together with ribbon and hemp.
