Materials

  • Faceted round crystals, 4mm: rose, 51; rosaline, 51; rose alabaster, 51
  • Gold findings: headpins, 48; eye pins, three; jump rings, 4mm, six; loop sliding clasp

Tools

  • Jewelry pliers: chain-nose, flat-nose, round-nose
  • Wire cutters

Basic Supplies

  • ruler
  • 1. Measure and cut each headpin to 1" length.

  • 2. Divide headpins into three groups of 16. String three rose crystals onto first group, three rosaline crystals onto second group, and three rose alabaster crystals onto remaining headpins.

  • 3. Leave 3mm space above last crystal; bend each headpin 45°.

  • 4. Turn simple loop on each headpin.

  • 5. Separate headpins into three sets as follows: first group, five rose, five rosaline, six rose alabaster; second group, five rose alabaster, five rose, six rosaline; third group, five rosaline, five rose alabaster, six rose.
  • 6. From first group, open eye loop of rose headpin; hook between first and second crystal from nail head of second rose headpin.

  • 7. Close eye loop. Open loop of second rose headpin; hook between first and second crystals from nail head of second headpin.

  • 8. Make zigzag row from five rose alabaster, five rose, and six rosaline headpins from second group. Make zigzag row from five rosaline, five rose alabaster, and six rose headpins from third group.
  • 9. Position eye pin on ruler and cut to 23mm or approximately 1".

  • 10. String three remaining rose beads on eye pin. Leave 3mm gap above last bead and turn simple loop. Open loop and attach to last rose headpin.

  • 11. Repeat Step 10 with rose alabaster and rosaline beads; attach to corresponding second and third rows.

  • 12. Separate two halves of clasp. Attach each zigzag row to loop on one half of clasp using jump ring. Attach other end of each row to corresponding slide loop on clasp making sure rows sit flat.
