  • Bracelet
  • 1. To make each caged bead, start by cutting 10" piece of copper wire. Center Amazonite bead on wire and make wrapped loop on each end (see "How To Make A Wrapped Loop" tutorial below), but do not trim tails.
  • 2. Grasp loop on one side of bead with chain-nose pliers, then wrap wire gently around end of bead four or five times to create spiral. Use same technique to make spiral on other side of bead.
  • 3. Wrap and swirl one end of wire around bead toward other side to cage it. Wrap wire once around wrapped loop and trim end. Use same technique to finish caging bead with other end of wire. Repeat Steps 1 through 3 to cage all four Amazonite beads, attaching one side of toggle clasp to wrapped loop on last caged bead.
  • 4. Make wrapped loop in one end of 4" piece of wire, catching other loop of last caged bead. Slide one copper heishe, three appetite rondelles, and one heishe onto wire. Attach this component to caged bead with wrapped loop.
  • 5. Make wrapped loop in one end of 4" piece of wire, catching loop of last caged bead. Slide one copper heishe, two fuchsia candy jade rondelles, and one heishe onto wire. Attach this component to caged bead with wrapped loop.
  • 6. Make wrapped loop in one end of 4" piece of wire, catching the loop of last caged bead. Slide one copper heishe, two sky blue candy jade rondelles, and one heishe onto wire. Attach this component to caged bead with wrapped loop.
  • 7. Make wrapped loop in one end of 4" piece of wire, catching loop of last caged bead. Slide one copper heishe, one fuchsia candy jade rondelle, and one heishe onto wire. Attach this component to another component made with one copper heishe, twp appetite rondelles, and one copper heishe using wrapped loop. Catch other side of toggle clasp in last wrapped loop.
  • How To Make A Wrapped Loop
  • 1. To make a wrapped loop, grasp wire with round-nose pliers and bend tail of wire over pliers 90 degrees. Move pliers to grip wire just above 90-degree turn. Grab tail of wire with fingers and wrap around pliers to make partial loop. Reposition pliers and finish, pulling wire around pliers to complete loop. Wrap tail around straight wire twice. Use wire cutters to trim tail.
