  • Special Stitches
  • 1. inc1 - Knit next stitch, but keep it on left needle. Insert right needle into back of same stitch and knit again. Slip stitch off left needle (inc1 made).
  • Scarf
  • 1. Cast on 23 sts.
  • 2. Rows 1-36: K 1, (yo, k2tog) 10 times, k 2.
  • 3. Row 37: K 1, k2tog 5 times, k1, k2tog 5 times, k 1.
  • 4. Row 38: K 1, p 11, k 1.
  • 5. Row 39: K 13.
  • 6. Row 40: K 1, inc1 5 times, k 1, inc1 5 times, k 1.
  • 7. Repeat Rows 1-40 three times and Rows 1-36 once. Cast off loosely.
  • Fringe
  • 1. Cut forty-six 12" lengths of yarn. Fold one piece of yarn in half; pass folded end through space on one end of scarf, slip loose ends of yarn through folded loop, and gently tug ends to secure.
  • 2. Repeat for remaining pieces of yarn, spacing 23 fringes evenly along each scarf end. Separate strands of fringe to create frayed effect. Trim fringe edges even.
