Pattern - iPhone Covers

  • Note
  • 1. Always turn case 180° in either direction to ensure all top legs of cross-stitches face in same direction.
  • Stripe Case
  • 1. Locate and mark center point of case with embroidery thread. See Photo 1.

  • 2. Do not knot floss ends. Begin with knotless loop to keep stitching on reverse as flat as possible to ensure case will fit snugly onto phone. To make knotless loop: Fold 24" length of floss in half; thread loose ends into needle. Counting from center point to furthest left stitch, make first half stitch with loop end of thread on reverse side of case by inserting needle from back to front to back of case. Pass needle and floss through loop; pull closed to secure. See Photo 2.

  • 3. Count stitches and gaps in color you are using from starting point to right side, completing half stitches all along row, then go back to "cross" stitches to complete cross-stitch from right to left. See Photos 3-4. After first row is completed, remove center marks if desired. When one color is completed, move to next color. To switch colors, secure floss end by running needle underneath several stitches on reverse; trim ends. See Photo 5.

  • Tip
  • 1. Since case is flexible, you can bend back edges to get needle out when finishing off threads. Use a small pliers to help pull out needle if necessary.
