Directions

Gauge

  • 1. In double crochet, 16 sts and 7 rows = 4”.

Note

  • 1. To change color, work last stitch of old color to last yarn over. Yarn over with new color and draw through all loops on hook to complete stitch. Proceed with new color. Do not fasten off old color. Carry color not in use on top of row below and crochet over it, to hide. At beginning of rows, to make firm edge, ch 2, then work first dc in first stitch. Do not skip first stitch, and at end of rows, do not work into the ch-2 turning ch, it does not count as a stitch. After Row 2, all A-colored stitches are worked in front loops only, and all B-colored stitches are worked in back loops only, to create subtle texture. The final row is worked in both loops.
