Basic Supplies

scissors, ruler

Directions

STEP 1

  • Following manufacturer’s instructions, knit 29”-long Moss Shades cord using French Knitter. Repeat for total of three cords.

STEP 2

  • Tie three yarn ends together and braid cords. Tie yarn ends together to finish. Weave ends back into cords using tapestry needle. Form braid into circle; overlap ends and tack together using needle and thread. Place overlap at top of wreath.

STEP 3

  • Starting at top, thread wire through braid loops on back of wreath, bending into circle shape. Twist ends together to form hanging loop at top. Trim excess.

STEP 4

  • Cut 3” length off ribbon; set aside. Make ribbon bow with remaining ribbon; cross ends over center. Wrap 3” length around center to bind bow; secure using glue gun. Trim ends. Adhere bow to wreath using glue gun, covering overlap on cord and wire hanger.

STEP 5

  • Insert twine through button holes; tie ends into knots. Trim ends. Adhere buttons to wreath in clusters.

Tip

  • 1. Boucle yarn adds a nice texture to the wreath, but the loops in the yarn can make it more difficult to stitch. For easier stitching, use smooth yarn.
