Directions

Streamlined Frame (step 1)

  • 1. Basecoat frame Lush Foliage. Let dry.
  • 2. Trim transparency to fit top left corner of plaque as shown. Quick Tip: Apply adhesive to area of transparency that will be covered by photo.
  • 3. Layer and adhere photo and phrase card over transparency on right side of plaque.
  • 4. Layer and adhere chipboard flower, leaf and yellow flower as shown. Glue crystal to yellow flower.
  • 5. Adhere butterfly embellishment to top left of plaque.

Intermediate Frame (step 2)

  • 1. Complete Steps 1 and 2 from Streamlined Frame.
  • 2. Layer photo and phrase card over transparency in center of plaque.
  • 3. Use Floral Craft Glue to adhere pink flowers to bottom left. Glue yellow flower and crystal center to plaque. Bend and tuck one stem of stars under left side of flower cluster; glue. Glue leaves to plaque around flower cluster.
  • 4. Glue glitter swirl to right side of photo, and butterfly to top left of plaque.

Detailed Frame (Step 3)

  • 1. Step up the embellishments and techniques on this version, creating a frame that is loaded with layers. The premade transparency is replaced by a heat-embossed, full-size design, and the same butterfly embellishment gets a makeover using coordinating glitter and crystals. A bit of ink, a little dry-brushing and a few extra embellishments show that tiny details can make a big impact. To do this, paint plaque as directed in previous instructions. Dry brush edges with Butter paint. Let dry.
  • 2. Follow manufacturer’s instructions to apply Design Adhesives to inner plaque, cutting sheets as desired to create flower pattern. Remove top protective sheet to expose adhesive. Cover adhesive with embossing powder, remove excess and heat set.
  • 3. Ink edges of photo Dark Brown, and edges of phrase card Creamy Brown. Adhere both pieces to right side of plaque.
  • 4. Using Floral Craft Glue, layer flowers, leaves and stars as described in Step 3 of intermediate level frame. Add an additional stem of stars to cluster.
  • 5. Glue glitter swirl to right side of plaque, overlapping photo and phrase card. Remove one star from remaining stem. Layer and glue star and crystal butterfly over swirl.
  • 6. Use micro-tip scissors to cut cream edge from butterfly embellishment. Apply Glitter and Gem Glue to edges of butterfly and apply glitter. Tap off excess. Apply crystal line to body of butterfly. Glue to top left of photo.
