STEP 2

  • Holding dome lid in one hand, use Espresso Brown paint pen to draw free-hand vine pattern around lower margins, going around several times and overlapping here and there. Add several pale gold tendrils weaving in and out. Let dry.

STEP 3

  • Glue inverted candy dish to cake plate, applying glue only at center. Let dry.

STEP 4

  • Place tea light under base.

Designer Tips

  • 1. Look for old glass dishes with circular or egg shaped patterns, but don’t feel limited if you can’t find any.
  • 2. Bake cupcakes in foil papers, frost in chocolate, vanilla or as desired. Break pretzel twist and create a nest in center of cupcake. Place 2-3 blue Jordan almonds inside pretzel nest. Place cupcakes on shred on cake plate, letting some shred escape when dome is placed over cupcakes.
  • 3. Get creative with your cupcakes! Small bird stickers or stamped cupcake picks emerging from the nests are fun, too.
