Spring Leaf Necklace

Materials

  • Satin Copper .015 Crinkled Beading Wire*, 90” length
  • White Bone Leaf Pendant (Rings ‘n Things)
  • Toho Seed Beads*: Galvanized Aqua 11/0 Round, 10 gram pkg.; Inside Color Copper 11/0 Cylindrical, 3 gram pkg.
  • Copper Findings*: Toggle Clasp; Crimp Covers, 5mm, two
  • Crimp Beads (any color)*, #2, two

Tools

  • Standard Crimping Tool*
  • Wire Cutters*
  • EZ-Crimp or Mighty Crimping Tool*

Directions

STEP 1

  • Cut crinkled beading wire into five equal lengths.

STEP 2

  • Hold wires together as one and pass through crimp bead, but do not crimp yet.

STEP 3

  • Pass one wire through half the clasp and back through crimp bead; crimp.

STEP 4

  • Use EZ-Crimp tool to attach crimp cover over crimp bead.

STEP 5

  • Use wire cutter to trim extra short ends of wire protruding from same side of crimp as clasp.

STEP 6

  • String 4” of seed beads onto each long beading wire: three copper; two green.

STEP 7

  • Hold wires together and pass through pendant.

STEP 8

  • String 4” of seed beads onto each long beading wire: three copper; two green.

STEP 9

  • Repeat Steps 2 through 5 to finish end of necklace.

Tip

  • 1. Seed beads are an inexpensive way to dress up simple jewelry designs. Use different sizes for more texture, different colors to add depth, or different shapes for more dimension.
