Festive Trees Card

Materials

  • White blank card, 5”x7”
  • Print paper: ornaments, polka dots
  • Midwest Products Co., Inc.: Silver Mirror Styrene; Birch Plywood, Basswood Strip
  • Royal Rub-On Transfers: Winter Sentiments (ROY503), Christmas Sentiments (ROY519)
  • DecoArt Americana Acrylic Paints: Baby Pink, Carousel Pink, Limeade, Peaches n Cream
  • Purple inkpad and borders stamp

Tools

  • Ellison Sizzix Machines and Dies: Stars, Circles, Scallop
  • Paper glue
  • Scissors
  • Ruler
  • Paintbrush
  • Newspaper (to cover work surface)

Directions

STEP 1

  • Measure and cut 5”x7” polka-dot print rectangle. Glue rectangle on front of card.

STEP 2

  • Use machine and Circles Scallop die to cut one circle from ornament-print paper. Glue circle on front of card.

STEP 3

  • Follow manufacturer’s instructions to apply “happy holidays,” “joy,” and “peace” on front of card.

STEP 4

  • Measure and cut 3/4”x6” basswood strips. On covered work surface, paint strips Carousel Pink.

STEP 5

  • For trees, measure and cut various-sized birch plywood triangles. Paint trees Baby Pink, Peaches n Cream, and Limeade. Let dry.

STEP 6

  • Use borders stamp and purple inkpad to stamp designs on trees. Glue trees and trunks on card.

STEP 7

  • Use machine and Stars die to cut three silver styrene stars. Remove coating from stars; glue on top of trees.
