Fabric Silverware Pockets

Materials

  • FOR ONE:
  • Cotton print fabric, 5-1/2”x6-1/2” rectangle

Tools

  • Sewing needle and thread or fabric glue
  • Iron
  • Scissors
  • Ruler or measuring tape
  • Straight pins

Directions

STEP 1

  • Measure and cut 5”x6-1/2” fabric rectangle.

STEP 2

  • Fold one long edge of rectangle, 1/4” to wrong side of fabric. Use iron to press. Sew or glue along pressed edge.

STEP 3

  • To form pocket, fold rectangle, with right sides together. Use pins to hold in place.

STEP 4

  • Sew or glue side and bottom edges together, leaving top open.

STEP 5

  • Turn pocket right side out. Insert silverware.
