Ribbon Girl Jewelry Holder

Materials

  • Dow STYROFOAM Brand Foam: 6” cone
  • Forster Mini Jumbo Craft Sticks, two
  • Lara’s Crafts Wooden Doll Head, 2”
  • Ribbon, 7” lengths
  • Yellow craft boa, 9” length
  • White eyelet lace, 9-1/2” length
  • DecoArt Americana Acrylic Paints: Flesh Tone, Lamp Black
  • Red chalk
  • Aleene’s Original Tacky Glue

Tools

  • Hole punch, 1/8”
  • Scissors
  • Ruler
  • Black marker
  • Paintbrushes
  • Newspaper (to cover work surface)

Directions

STEP 1

  • On covered work surface, paint craft sticks (arms) and doll head Flesh Tone. Let dry.

STEP 2

  • On arms, measure and punch holes, evenly spaced, 1/2” from ends, along center.

STEP 3

  • Measure and cut 7” lengths of ribbon. Glue ribbon lengths along cone (body), overlapping edges slightly. Trim ends. Glue ends on bottom of body.

STEP 4

  • Use scissors to make small slits on sides of body. Glue arms inside slits. Let dry.

STEP 5

  • Glue eyelet lace along bottom of body.

STEP 6

  • Use end of paintbrush handle to dot Lamp Black eyes on face. Use red chalk to blush cheeks. Use black marker to draw smile.

STEP 7

  • For hair, glue yellow boa on top of head, overlapping ends on back. Let dry.

STEP 8

  • Glue head on top of body. Let dry. Measure and cut 6” ribbon length. Tie ribbon bow; glue bow on neck. Let dry.
