  • Fiberfill stuffing, small amount

Size

  • 1. Size is 9-1/2”x12”.

Note

  • 1. This is the same for all animals. Make two for each animal in appropriate color.

Main Body

  • 1. Row 1: Ch 25, sc in 2nd ch from hook and each across, turn.
  • 2. Row 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in 1st and 2 sc in 2nd sc, 1 sc in each sc until last 2 sc, 2 sc in each of last 2 sc, turn.
  • 3. Row 3: Ch 1, sc in each sc of the previous row, turn.
  • 4. Rows 4-7: Repeat rows 2-3 two more times, turn.
  • 5. Rows 8-46: Ch 1, sc in each sc across, turn.
  • 6. Row 48: Ch 1, (dec 1 sc over 2 sc) twice, sc in each sc across until last 4 sc, (dec 1 sc over next 2 sc) twice, turn.
  • 7. Rows 49-52: Repeat rows 47-48 two more times, turn.
  • 8. Row 53: Ch 1, sc in each sc across. Finish off.

Dog’s Ears (make 1 of each – white and grey)

  • 1. Row 1: Ch 21, sc in 2nd ch from hook and each of next ch 18, 2 sc in last ch; turn to the other side of the chain – 2 sc in 1st ch, sc in each of next ch 19, turn.
  • 2. Row 2: Ch 1, sc in each of next 19 sc, 2 sc in each of next 4 sc, 1 sc in each of next 19 sc, turn.
  • 3. Row 3: Ch 1, sc in each of next 19 sc, 2 sc in each of next 2 sc, sc in each of next 4 sc, 2 sc in each of next 2 sc, 1 sc in each of next 19, turn.

  • 3. Row 3: Ch 1, sc in each sc across, turn.

  • 6. Row 16: Ch 1, sc around the edge of the ear. Finish off.

pig’s ears (make 2)

Bear’s Ears (make 2)

  • 1. Row 1: Ch 6, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sk ch 1, 5 dc in next ch, sk ch 1, sc in last ch, turn.
  • 2. Row 2: Ch 1, sc in 1st, (2sc in next st, 1 sc in next st) 3 times, turn.
  • 3. Row 3: Ch 1, sc in each of next 4 sc, 2 sc in each of next 2 sc, sc in each of next 4 sc, turn.

  • 3. Row 3: Ch 1, (sc in each of next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) until last 2 sc, sc in each of last 2 sc, sl st in 1st st.

  • 2. Row 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in 1st sc, sc in each of next 4 sc, 2 sc in each of next 2 sc, sc in each of next 4 sc, 2 sc in last sc, sl st in 1st st. Finish off.

Pig’s Nostrils

  • 1. Row 1: Ch 4, 2 sc 2nd ch from hook, sc in next ch, 2 sc in last ch; turn to the other side of the chain; 2 sc in first ch, sc in next ch, 2 sc in last ch. Finish off.

Finishing

  • 1. Sew two main body pieces of each animal together along edges, leaving 15” unfinished along one vertical side for zipper.
  • 2. Sew ears of each animal on body. Sew eyes of each animal on body (approximately 15 rows from top and 5-6 stitches from edges). Sew noses on dog’s and bear’s muzzles and nostrils on pig’s snout. Make mouths for bear and dog using black yarn.
  • 3. Stuff muzzles and snout lightly and sew edges together; attach to faces.
  • 4. Using two strands of coordinating-color yarn, sew zipper along right edges.
