Duct Tape Tool Pouch

Materials

  • 2”-wide duct tape in choice of colors
  • 1-1/2” strip of hook and loop tape

Basic Supplies

scissors, ruler

Directions

STEP 1

  • To prepare the duct tape sheet, cut several lengths from duct tape: place each length sticky side up on work surface, overlapping edges 1/2”. In same manner, cut several more lengths and place sticky side down over bottom sheet. See Figures 1 and 2. For Tool pouch base, make a 9”x14” sheet. For pouches and loops, make a second sheet 6-1/2”x11-1/2” from alternate color tape.

STEP 2

  • For loop, cut a 1”x6-1/2” strip from second sheet. For pouches, cut two 5-1/4”x6-1/2” rectangles from remaining portion of second sheet.

STEP 3

  • For belt, measure waist and cut two lengths from duct tape 4” longer than measurement. See Figure 3. Center and tape, one length across top of tool pouch base; tape second length to first. See Figure 4. Tape 2” of one end of loop to back of tool pouch base, 1/2” from bottom of belt. Place pouches on tool pouch base and tape in place. (Note: Do not tape on top of pouches). Tape other end of loop to front of tool pouch base as shown.

STEP 4

  • Apply hook and loop tape to each end of belt.

Tip

  • 1. Use a non-stick scissors to make cutting the duct tape easier.
