Directions

Gauge

  • 1. In Lace Panel, on larger needles, 14 sts and 24 rows = 4”/10 cm
  • 2. In 2x2 Rib on larger needles, 20 sts and 24 rows = 4”/10cm

  • 1. With RS facing, pick up and k180 (200, 220, 240, 255, 275) sts evenly along lower edge.
  • 2. Note: Sl st is to show on RS on all pick-up rows
  • 3. Rib row (WS): P4, (k2, p3) to last st, end p1.
  • 4. Work even in rib patt as est until piece measures 4 (5, 5, 5, 5-1/2, 5-1/2)”/10 (12.5, 12.5, 12.5, 14, 14) cm from pick-up edge. BO loosely in patt.

Bodice Right Front

  • 1. With RS facing, pick up and k40 (45, 50, 55, 56, 60) sts, beg at front edge and ending at 1st armhole marker. then CO 12 (17, 17, 17, 12, 12) sts for underarm – 52 (62, 67, 72, 68, 72) sts.
  • 2. Note: Sl st is to show on RS on all pick-up rows.
  • 3. Set up row (WS): P5, (k2, p3) 3 (4, 4, 4, 5, 5) times, pm, p 18, pm, k 14 (19, 24, 29, 20, 24).
  • 4. Next Row (RS): Work 14 (19, 24, 29, 20, 24) sts in Welt patt, sl 1, work 16 sts in Lace Panel, sl 1, work 18 (23, 23, 23, 28, 28) sts in rib end sl 1, k1.
  • 5. Continue in patt as est ; and at the same time, shape Neck as follow:
  • 6. (WS) At neck edge, dec 1 st EOR 4 times, then every 4th row 9 (10, 11, 12, 12, 14) times; 39 (48, 52, 56, 52, 54) sts rem for shoulder and armband. Work even until piece measures 9 (9-1/2, 10, 10-1/2, 11, 11-1/2)”/23 (24, 25.5, 26.5, 28, 29.5) cm, from pick-up row, end with a WS row. Place sts on holder for 3-needle BO.

Bodice Back

  • 1. With RS facing, pick up and k85 (95, 105, 115, 122, 132) sts, beg at 2nd marker and ending at 3rd marker, then CO 12 (17, 17, 17, 12, 12) at end of row for underarm; 97 (112, 122, 132, 134, 144) sts.
  • 2. Set up row (WS): P5, (k2, p3) 3 (4, 4, 4, 5, 5) times, pm, p18, pm, k33 (43, 53, 63, 50, 60) pm, p18, (p3, k2) 1 (1, 1, 1, 3, 3) times, k3, then CO 12 (17, 17, 17, 12, 12) sts for underarm; 109 (129, 139, 149, 146, 156) sts.
  • 3. Next Row (RS): K1, sl 1, work 18 (23, 23, 23, 28, 28) sts in rib, sl 1, work 16 sts in Lace Panel, sl 1, work 33 (43, 53, 63, 50, 60) sts in Welt patt, sl 1, work 16 sts in Lace Panel, sl, 1 work 18 (23, 23, 23, 28, 28) sts in rib, end sl1, k1.
  • 4. Work even until piece measures 9 (9-1/2, 10, 10-1/2, 11, 11-1/2)”/23 (24, 25.5, 26.5, 28, 29.5) cm from pick-up row, end with a WS row. Place sts on holder.

Bodice Left Front

  • 1. Work as for Bodice Right Front, rev all shaping; beg picking up sts at 4th arm marker.

Finishing

  • 1. With RS’s together, attach 39 (48, 52, 56, 52, 54) Front Bodice sts to Back Bodice at shoulder with 3-needle BO. Leave remaining 31 (33, 35, 37, 42, 48) sts on holder for back neck. Sew armband seams at underarm.
  • 2. Place markers for 3 buttonholes along Right Front edge, first 6”/15cm from lower edge, last 1”/2.5cm from beg of neck shaping, remaining one evenly spaced between.

Neckband

  • 1. With RS facing, using smaller circular needle, pick up and k90 (95, 95, 95, 100, 100) sts along Left Front edge, 130 (140, 145, 150, 155, 165) sts around neck edge (including sts on holders), 90 (95, 95, 95, 100, 100) sts along Left Front edge. – 310 (330, 335, 340, 355, 365) sts. Do not join.
  • 2. (WS) P4, (k2, p3) to last st, p1.
  • 3. Work in rib as est for 1 (1, 1, 1, 1-1/2, 1-1/2)”/2.5 (2.5, 2.5, 2.5, 3.5, 3.5)cm. Work buttonholes as follows: Buttonhole row: *Work to marker, BO 4 sts; rep from * for rem buttonholes, work to end.
  • 4. Next Row: Continue in patt as est, CO 4 sts over BO sts.
  • 5. Continue in patt as est until band measures 2 (2, 2, 2, 3, 3)”/5 (5, 5, 5, 7.5, 7.5)cm from beg, end WS row. BO loosely in patt.
  • 6. Using yarn needle, weave in ends. Sew buttons opposite buttonholes.
