Materials

  • Cardstock: red, white
  • Pink Paislee Pen Pals Collection 6x6 Paper Pad
  • Pink sheer white polka dot ribbon

Tools

  • Die-cutting machine and My Favorite Things Die-namics Dies: Scalloped Treat Box, LJD Square Pillow Box, Blueprints 1 (Small Tag), Blueprints 8 (Hearts)
  • Adhesives: foam tape, double-sided tape

Basic Supplies

  • scissors, paper trimmer
  • Sizes
  • 1. Red scalloped box: 2-1/2"x2-3/4"x1"
  • 2. Pink pillow box: 2-7/8"x2-3/8"x7/8"
  • Red Scalloped Box
  • 1. Die cut two scalloped pieces from red cardstock using Scalloped Treat Box die. Fold along score lines and assemble, securing edges with double-sided tape.
  • 2. Tape larger heart die to lower left side of 2"x1-3/4" block of white/red polka dot paper; die cut heart shape. Adhere panel to front of box using double-sided tape.
  • 3. From die-cut heart, cut smaller heart. Adhere heart inside cut-out heart shape on front of box using foam tape.
  • 4. Cut thin 2"-long dark red/pink striped paper strip; adhere to top of dotted panel.
  • Pink Pillow Box
  • 1. Die cut one pillow box piece from pink/white heart print paper using Pillow Box die. Fold on score lines; adhere along sides and on one end using double-sided tape.
  • 2. Cut 6"x-1/2" strip of dark red/pink striped paper. Beginning at edge of open flap, adhere strip around box using double-sided tape.
  • 3. Fill box with desired treats. Wrap ribbon around box; tie ends into bow.
  • 4. Die cut rounded-edge tag from white cardstock. Position die-cut tag back into die, run through die-cutting machine again cutting small heart from tag. Adhere tag beneath ribbon using foam tape.
  • Tip
  • 1. By beginning at edge of open flap, box can easily be opened once ribbon is removed.
