Pattern - Christmas Tree Gift Packet

  • 1. Wrap everything from freshly baked cookies to wrapped candies in this easy-to-make envelope. Print and cut out envelope. Cut envelope from white cardstock, following solid lines on pattern. Cut a 4"x5" rectangle from patterned paper and glue to the center of the card stock envelope shape. Use a craft knife to cut the tree-shaped opening from the envelope, following the pattern.
  • 2. Cut a 5"x9" rectangle from lightweight vinyl. Glue the rectangle horizontally to the wrong side of the envelope shape, making sure edges of vinyl are even with dashed lines above and below the tree. Trim vinyl edges that extend beyond the edges of the envelope shape at the sides. Machine sew straight stitches on patterned rectangle 1/8" from edges of rectangle and tree.
  • 3. Score the envelope along dashed lines. Fold sides of envelope over toward back along scored lines and glue overlapped edges to secure. Fold bottom of envelope up and glue. Place goodies inside the envelope. Fold the envelope flap over and glue.
  • 4. Tie ribbon bow around top of envelope. Print a holiday message on coordinating card stock; trim to tag shape and punch hole. Use craft thread to tie tag around bow. Glue jingle bell to center of bow.
