Cardboard Tube Menorah

  • Cardboard Tube Menorah


  • Recycled cardboard tubes: eight toilet paper, one paper towel
  • Craft sticks, nine
  • Wooden shapes: large teardrop, eight small teardrops
  • DecoArt Americana Acrylic Paints: Slate Grey, Sapphire Blue, Snow White, Soft Blue, Primary Yellow; Glamour Dust
  • Dow STYROFOAM Brand Foam: nine 1-1/2” squares
  • Black construction paper or cardstock, scraps


  • Aleene’s Original Tacky Glue
  • Scissors
  • Ruler
  • Paintbrush
  • Newspaper (to cover work surface)
  • 1. On covered work surface, paint toilet paper tubes Slate Grey, Sapphire Blue, Snow White, and Soft Blue. Paint paper towel tubes Snow White. While still wet, sprinkle tubes with glamour dust. Let dry.
  • 2. Paint craft sticks Slate Grey and teardrops (flames) Primary Yellow.
  • 3. Use black marker to outline flames.
  • 4. Measure and cut (18) 1/2"x4-1/2" black paper strips. Glue strips around top and bottom of tubes.
  • 5. Glue flames on ends of craft sticks. Let dry.
  • 6. Insert craft stick end into plastic-foam squares. Insert squares in base of tubes.
  • 7. Arrange menorah with largest tube in center.
