size: 16" square

  • At Home Organizer

  • Matboard or heavy-duty card board, 16” square
  • Print fabric: 18” square, three 6-1/2”x19” rectangles
  • Cardstock, scraps
  • Ribbon, two 4” lengths
  • Glue Dots International: Mini Glue Dots®, Continuous Glue Lines®
  • Fabric stiffener

  • Iron
  • Paintbrush or sponge scrap
  • Scissors
  • Ruler or measuring tape
  • 1. On clean work surface, use paintbrush or sponge scrap to apply fabric stiffener on back of 18" fabric square. While still wet, press fabric square on matboard, wrapping edges onto back of board. Let dry.
  • 2. For pockets, measure and cut three 6-1/2"x19" fabric rectangles. Use paintbrush to apply fabric stiffener on back of each pocket. Let dry.
  • 3. On each pocket, measure and crease 1/2" flap on top and 2" flap on bottom, so flaps fold to inside. Use iron to crease pocket flaps.
  • 4. Apply two Glue lines on outside of 2" bottom flaps on each pocket. Press pockets on board. See photo for placement.
  • 5. For name, cut letters from card stock scraps. Use Mini Glue Dots to secure letters on board.
  • 6. For hanger, measure and cut two 4" ribbon lengths. Loop ribbon lengths and use Glue Lines to attach each ribbon length on top corners of board. Press firmly.
  • Note
  • 1. Adults, help kids when using iron.
